Location
Sitting at the heart of the small village of GEAY, L'ancienne ecole is a 170 year old Maison de Maitre that was once used as the village school. Idealy situated between the historic towns of THOUARS and BRESSUIRE in the Deux Sevres region, part of the Nouvelle aquitaine department which, having its own micro-climate is credited with being the second sunniest region in France.
Traveling by ferry? We are just 4.5 hours by road from Cherbourg and 6.5 hours from Calais making us an ideal over night stop if you are traveling further south. We are serviced by 3 airports, Poitiers 1 hour drive, Nantes 1 hour 20 minutes,and La Rochelle 1 hour 50.

Within easy reach of many attractions including PUY DU FOU at 45 minutes drive, FUTUROSCOPE 1 hour and BIOPARC ZOO 42 minutes.
We are 20 minutes from the Karting track at ARGENTON LES VALLES which hold regular championships.
We can offer you a warm welcome and comfortable stay whether it be for one night, a short break or longer stay.
Like hiking/walking? This area has lots of walking trails, plenty of routes around our village or enjoy walking along the river trails in Bressuire.
There's a local swimming lake (5minute drive) and PESCALIS nature reserve is just 35 minutes away.
Love car boot sales? There's always a vide grainier on somewhere over the weekends!
